WEEK 78

Hello Everyone!

This week was full of great things! BROTHER JAMES BROWN WENT THROUGH THE TEMPLE! and we got to go :) I will never forget that experience. Seriously, it was a tender mercy. I am so grateful for the temple! We were worried that we were not going to be able to go, but everything worked out. Heavenly Father takes care of us and grants us according to our desires. Answer to prayer!

Another tender mercy, I got to see SISTER NELSON!! BAHH! She came with her companion to see Meet the Mormons. :) She is the most incredible missionary. I am beyond proud of her...I can't even imagine how please Heavenly Father must be with her. She is going to be such a strength for this mission.

The ward is becoming more and more missionary minded! We passed around a team up calendar in relief society and almost all of the women signed up to go out with us this week! WHAT!? Hearts are changing and blessings are going to follow.

The gospel is all about our Hearts isn't it? I love how in the Book of Mormon, there are several "mighty change of heart." Having this change of heart takes time, but it is worth it! The Gospel of Jesus Christ is worth it. God loves us! Jesus Christ means everything to me.

I love you all! I pray that you are getting to see opportunities to share what is in your heart. We are here for the greatest cause! To share the gospel and stand as a witness of Him!

Week 77

never know what to put in the subject...So I put a smiley face because I am happy.

This week we saw so many great things! We got to go to Meet the Mormons! Ron came and so did Heather and Roger (picture). The movie is so great and please everyone go and see it!

We also had exchanges this week. I got to go out with Sister Fuller. She is the most down to earth, real sister missionary I have ever met. As we talked we both realized that we have been both struggling with the same things! It was a testimony to me that Heavenly Father knows me and what I need. I was so grateful. :)

Side note, so I have been feeling that I need to try to go with James Brown to the temple...he is an older gentleman I taught at the beginning of my mission and now he is going to the temple :)  A year later! Anyway, so I have been feeling like I really need to try...but I have been embarrassed because there are lots of sister missionaries that he has worked with and loved. Well, it came up again today and we found out he is going to the temple this Thursday! WHHAAA!!?? AND we got permission to go! This is real everyone! It is real! :) I will let you know how it goes :) Please pray that he makes it!

Roger is set for baptism for Nov. 8th! :) We had a lesson with he and Heather last night and invited him to follow the example of Jesus Christ and be baptized! he immediately said yes! They have such a neat family, it has been an honor to be there friend :)

SO...THe Vera's from Kearney came and surprised us! We got this call from a random number. I answered and there was sister Vera! We had lunch together. I love them so much. Seriously, when they packed back up in the car and drove off...I couldn't stop crying! haha. Another tender mercy! Heavenly Father is so aware of each of us. I know this because I have felt how aware He is of me this week.

I love this place! I love this work! Heavenly Father is so aware of each of us. I love my Savior Jesus Christ.
Love,
Sister Call

Week 76 General Conference!!!!

ITS THE MOST WONDERFUL TIME OF THE YEAR!

Ok, but seriously. I feel like general conference is better then Christmas! :)

Wow, this week has been so incredible. Heavenly Father is letting me learn so so much and I am so grateful to Him and my Savior.

So, we had interviews with President Weston this week. He looked at me and ask me one question, "What do you want?" I sat there, unsure what to say. He bore powerful testimony that we cane have anything we want! Since then, in my book of Mormon reading, I have been learning a lot about people and Prophets fighting for what they want. How often do we fight for what we want? Do we know what we want? Then he told me "I hope you have gotten what you wanted from your mission." At first, I felt sick. I had the thought, have I wasted my mission because I haven't always known what I want? I walked away feeling slightly discouraged. But something else he told me, that I will never forget, he said, "The atonement starts now." This brought me a lot of peace and hope. Every day is a new day and we can start now. :)

"As our understanding of the Atonement of Jesus Christ grows, our desire to share the gospel will increase." PMG 2. This is true!

General Conference was incredible. I learned about focusing on the ONE! This is what the Savior did.  It keeps getting better and better and better! Hopefully our hearts are becoming more open. I pray mine is! Roger and Heather came to General Conference at the church. Sadly, Belle their little one became a little frustrated and they had to leave early, but Roger understood what was said and he seemed to like it! He is so sincere and wants to be a better father.

We almost lost Carol! So, she is having a granddaughter move in and didn't feel like she had time to meet with us. Luckily she let us come and do some service for her. We were praying! We walked into her house and she wanted us to sit down...we were a little confused...she wanted to talk about her questions from her Book of Mormon reading! And she still wants to meet with us. :) Tender Mercy big time!

I love you all so much! I am so grateful for all of your testimonies. They strengthen me and so many others. I have never realized what a gift our testimonies are! They are so special and the most important thing that we have! (someone is conference said that :)

Have a wonderful week! Love,
Sister Call

Week 75

Hello Everyone!
Firstly, How is everyone's book of Mormon reading coming?? Have you seen any neat miracles from it?

This week has been amazing! It is always so hard to know what to share with you all! But we had some pretty special experiences this week.

We got a referral from Sister Jorgensen, a member in our ward. She is my hero! Anyway, this ladies name is Carol...I am sure she is one of the reasons I got to stay in this ward. We had a lesson with her this past week and got to teach her the Restoration! Oh my! The spirit was so strong and her heart was so open to let the spirit testify that this is the truth. Sister Peterson began to share about Joseph Smith. I she began to share, I had this strong desire to get to share the fist vision! I said a quick silent prayer that I would get the opportunity...as she got to the first vision she looked at me and said, "I don't have it memorized in English!!" Immediately, I knew Heavenly Father heard my hurried prayer and answered it! I was beaming as I said, "I can do it!" We looked at Carol and shared that sacred experience with her. The spirit filled the room. As I shared and took it so slow, the spirit testified that Joseph Smith really did see Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. We all felt it! Carol believed it! She is so open to the spirit. We do have a Heavenly Father who loves us and answers our prayers.

We had a ward campout! Can I just tell you, the Elders Quorum cooked a huge pig! :) haha! It was so delicious! and Amber came :) It was so neat how the ward welcomed her in and introduced themselves. I love the members of this ward so much! Amber really enjoyed it...but sadly, she didn't come to church yesterday. She has a great support system...she is scared to change though. We are praying that the spirit will work on her this week! Time is a good thing.

Sister Peterson is so great! She is teaching me to slow down and listen to the spirit more. Sometimes I get too excited to anxious (patience is not my strength)...but she is so great and listening and discerning.

So real quick, funny story...we saw this guy that sister nelson and I had met before and his name is Conrad. We said hello, but didn't talk to him. We were walking back to our apartment, when we saw him outside again. We knew we were supposed to talk to him...we walked up to him and I said his name. He was surprised that I remembered. We continued to talk and he told us that he is a member of the church! WHAT!? Isn't that amazing how Heavenly Father really does put people in our path? are we opening our mouths?? :) He gave us his address. We eventually left and were so excited. Sister Peterson was laughing...I asked her why and she said, "He shouldn't be surprised that you remembered his name...it is tattooed on his chest!" I hadn't even noticed, but poor sister Peterson is a little shorter then I am. Anyway, moral of the story! Open your mouths because the people you see are in your life for a reason :)

I am SO EXCITED FOR CONFERENCE! This is the best time of year. Hands down! I pray that you will all bring questions to conference and I promise they will be answered as you listen with a sincere heart and real intent.

I love you all! I love the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I know Heavenly Father answer's prayers!

Have a great week! Enjoy listening to the Prophet and Apostles!
Love,
Sister Call

Week 74

Lani and New Comp Sister Peterson
Lani, sister? and Sister Peterson at Stake Conference?
Hello Everyone!

Transfers happened and we were not expecting any change! Ha! Sister Nelson and I were lying low :) BUT Heavenly Father had a different plan. Sister Nelson got called to go out to Souix City and I am now with Sister Peterson from Colorado :) She is a visa waiter going to Brazil! She has been here for 11 months so far and if she doesn't get her visa this transfer, she will serve in Nebraska for the rest of her mission! :) She is so great! She has been so patient with me despite my running around like a chicken with my head cut off because Sister Nelson did so much. I miss sister Nelson...but I am so excited for her. She is an incredible missionary and a great friend me. isn't that the best? when Heavenly Father give you a life long friend?  I love her and am so grateful we got to laugh together, cry together, learn and grow together! bah! She is so great and is going to continue to do incredible things in this mission for the Lord.

This week has been so great! We began the week with getting to teach one of our investigators named Amber! She is so great and she is set for baptism! Oct. 25th! :) She is afraid to read and pray about the Book of Mormon, but as we continued to talk, the spirit was present and she felt it! I am so grateful that the Spirit is the teacher, not us. :) Hopefully we will teach she and her less active boyfriend James at the Pulleys this week!

Heather Ainsworth has been coming to church and has been progressing! She is a less active in the ward. The sisters are taking such great care of her and she is changing. The atonement is real! and works.

We had stake conference yesterday and it was incredible! Elder Godoy from the seventy came because our stake presidency was changed. Where do I begin? It was incredible! The last testimony the Stake president gave was about the divinity of the Book of Mormon. How has everyone's Book of Mormon reading been going? I had the thought that Brother Bartlett (the old stake president) is the man he is today because he reads the Book of Mormon everyday! This Book of Mormon is so true. It is changing my heart and I desperately want to help other to have a change of heart as well! I was reading in Alma 5 today! Alma loves these people so much! He wants them to repent and come unto Christ! I invite all of you to read Alma 5. The Gospel does change our hearts.

I love you all so much. This is the greatest work we can every be involved in! I know the Savior lives. He is the reason for everything! Having faith is Jesus Christ will help us overcome every hard thing.

I love the gospel of Jesus Christ! It is true. If you haven't been reading the Book of Mormon, Alma 5 is a great chapter to read. Repentance is real!

Have an incredible week!
Love,
Sister Call

Week 73

Hello Family,

Shout out to Priscilla Call! OKLAHOMA!! HAHAHA! YES :) YES:) Priscilla, we are sisters through and through. The midwest is the best place in the world! I love you with all my heart!

How is Everyone's Book of Mormon reading been coming?? :)
This week was challenging, but that is always the best! Heavenly Father loves us so much!

We have seen the Lords hand in our life everyday! I have started writing tender mercies that I see throughout the day.
Sister Nelson is a tender mercy! She loves the Savior and she loves these people!
We have the best ward mission leader in the world! The Pulleys! :) They are the neatest family and they work so hard for the work to progress. Right now, we are working on finding with the members.
We had a good talk with the Pulleys yesterday about how sometimes, we need to build a strong foundation in an area and may not see the fruits, but they will come! I believe that is true.

We sang hymns with Heather cardsten the other night and Roger came in! We are hopefully going to start teaching Roger again :) It was a miracle!

Thank you for all your love and support! The Gospel of Jesus Christ is true! It does bless families. Nothing is going to stop this work from moving forward! I love you all!
Have a great week!

Week 72

Hello Family and Friends!

This week has been wonderful. Every week is wonderful. :) How has your Book of Mormon reading coming?? I pray that you are all getting a chance to read everyday. The Book of Mormon really does have the power to protect our families and we need all the protection we can get!

We had some exciting/funny things happen this week. 1. A man came up to Sister Nelson and offered to heal her knee...it was a strange experience and made me so grateful for the priesthood. :) 2. We locked ourselves out of our apartment (on our balcony) thankfully, we were able to break back in! 3. we have bedbugs!! :) I am finally getting my paraguay experience mom! :) It isn't bad at all through.

We had 4 returning members at church!! :) One was a miracle, a young mother and son came! She hasn't been to church since she has moved to omaha and then she decided to come. It was a miracle.

Sister Nelson and I have really been focusing on sacrifices. President Weston committed us to sacrifice three things. I am so grateful for this because as we sacrifice, we can become more like our Savior Jesus Christ. I love the Savior. Without fail, He is always there for us. I know that Heavenly Father loves us!

I love you all so much. As we have focused on the Book of Mormon as a mission, hearts are changing! I know all of us need a change of heart throughout our lives. I love Moroni 10:3-5! I invite each of you to pray and ask God in the name if Christ if the book is not true! We all need this witness many times.

Love you all lots! Have a miracle filled week!
Love,
Sister  Call

Week 71

Hi everyone!
How has the Book of Mormon reading been coming!??
I am so grateful for the Book of Mormon. "I love to read the Holy Scriptures!! EACH DAY my whole life through!" The Book of Mormon changes heart...it is changing mine.
This week was so wonderful. We did see miracles. We found 3 new investigators, but what is even better is the members are working with people and will hopefully be inviting their friends to learn more soon!
This last sunday, Heather Carsten came to Sacrament meeting! She brought lots of stuff for her little 2 year old to play with. Belle, the 2 year old, struggled during sacrament and heather had to take her out. After a little bit, heather came back in with no belle! I was like, whaaa?? I looked around and there in the back was Sister Dryden, a member of the ward. She was holding Belle and taking care of her so that Heather could listen and enjoy the spirit. I was overwhelmed with feeling that that is what the Savior would do! "what manner of men ought ye to be, verily I say unto you, even as I am." What an amazing example being Christ like.

Guess who I got to see!! JAMES BROWN AND ANGIE! Oh my goodness. Brother Brown is going to the temple next month. What a tender mercy. I love him and Angie with all my heart. Sharing the gospel brings the greatest rewards, best friends for eternity. I promise that you will never regret bringing another soul closer to Christ. :) This is joy! and the fruit of our labors.
Sister Nelson is doing so well. We got to play volleyball together yesterday. She played at Snow College and is VERY good. I didn't like it when she would serve...my arms are permanently red! haha
I love you all! Shout out to Priscilla!- you are going to be one of the best missionaries out there! :) i am so proud of you, but more importantly, Heavenly Father is so pleased and probably excited to put you to work! whoo!
I love you! Have an amazing week reading the Book of Mormon. :) I know as we all do this, we can know how to be more Christlike and happy!
Love,
Sister Call

Week 70

Sorry about the lack of posts, with our trip and the beginning of  school, we are running behind!
Dear Family and Friends,
What a week! Did you all have a great week? I hope so!
We had zone conference this week and let me tell you, it was a tender mercy. It was all on the Book of Mormon. I am so grateful! In preach my gospel it talks about how the book of mormon is 3 things,
1. witness of Jesus Christ
2. fulness of the Gospel of Jesus Christ
3. Foundation of our testimony!
This is true! As a mission we are studying the book of mormon, 5 pages a day! I am doing 8 pages a day due to my return date. I want to invite all of you to join with me and hundreds of other missionaries is studying the words of Christ, 8 pages a day! Will you all do that??
As a mission we are starting today. Sorry for the late notice :)

Other things this week....we moved!! Goodbye trail center! We moved into an apartment in an other part of our area. It is wonderful! I have learned a lot about bed bugs recently though :) haha!

This is a picture of the outside of our new apartment....it was raining like crazy the day we moved in. :)
We went to the trail center with Heather Ainsworth and Sis Despain! Heather is an less active that is coming back to church! Miracle, she came yesterday!! The picture is of us trying to reenact this picture of a missionary in england. Good times :)

Sister Nelson is doing wonderful! I love that sister so much. She is very wise.
Have an amazing week! Especially as we get to read the Book of Mormon together!

Week 69

Hello family and friends!
What a week! Heavenly Father loves each of us so much! He loves me for sure. I will tell you why.
SO, by a miracle and Sister Dumont following the spirit...Sister Nelson and I went to the trail center at the exact time that KAREN WENT!!! :) Bah! As soon as I saw her, sister dumont, sister smith, and sister dinkel my heart just about burst! I couldn't help but think, "this is JOY!"
KAREN IS GETTING BAPTIZED THIS WEEK! On thursday :) It was an incredible experience getting to see her again. This is all possible because of the gospel of Jesus Christ. It was such a tender mercy. Heavenly Father loves us.
We also got to have an amazing lessons with Ron! Ron is a miracle. I don't remember if I told you, but we found Ron while walking down the street. He was baptized when he was 18 and now he is 40ish....he hasn't been to church since. We taught him the plan of salvation at a members home (his home teachers home!) It was so perfect. Ron loved it! haha. When members and missionaries work together, miracles happen. :) Ron came to church again :)
Desmond and his family came to church as well! He has not set a baptismal date yet, but it will happen! Their family is so special and we both feel that as they read the Book of Mormon together as a family daily, everything will work out and they will eventually make it to the temple as a family.

We got to go to the temple this week! Bah! I was crying almost the entire time. Multiple times while we were there, I thought of 17 miracles and the young lady that says, "it will all be worth it." With all my heart I know that is true. Having a temple marriage, being worthy of the temple is worth EVERY sacrifice!
We are focusing on the Book of Mormon as a mission right now. I am so grateful for this. Studying and applying the Book of Mormon everyday is essential! It is one of the greatest ways that we can come to know our Savior and apply the atonement everyday.
Thank you for your examples for me. I know the time is now. It sounds like the world is getting worse and worse...please think about how much the gospel has blessed your life and given you hope! then think of those around you and share :)
Have a great week!
Love, Sister Call

Week 68

Hello everyone!
This week has been a long, wonderful week! Lots of miracles...especially at the end of the week!

We had to say goodbye to a lot of sister missionaries this week. The testimony meeting was incredible and I said goodbye to a sister that I admire soo much. Sister Brough. She taught me that without charity we are nothing. She made me want to be better! I love her and we will all miss her.
We also got to be involved in a huge service project our ward put on! We took old paint off of a house in Omaha and began to repaint it. It was raining and we were all laughing and having a blast. I know we are happiest when we are serving others because we are keeping our covenants! Joy!

I said goodbye to a car that was out in kearney for forever! I got to drive it for over 8 months? and then it followed me to Omaha. :) Tender mercy. Its name was grandpa and grandpa is now retired.
We saw miracles yesterday! We got to teach a family from Jamaica! bah! They are amazing. We sang together, laughed together and the spirit was so strong. The father is not a member, but he has been coming to church. We invited him to be baptized and he is going to give us a date on sunday! Our ward mission leader came with us, brother pulley. He is incredible. He was so bold and loving with him. The members here are so faithful and just want to do what is right. I love them with all my heart and I am so grateful for their examples.
I know Jesus Christ is our Savior. I know He understands us perfectly and that is how He loves us perfectly. I know Heavenly Father loves us! I do not know why things happen, but He has a plan! He really does and we can all find joy that we get to be apart of it! :)
I love you all soo very much! Keep seeing miracles.

Love,
Sister Call
I hope the dinner with the Olsons goes well! Just bear your testimonies and I promise the spirit will touch their hearts! No need to be afraid! Pray for faith.  I know you are what they need and Heavenly Father has put you in their lives for a reason! :) I will be praying for a miracle!

Week 67

Dear Family and friends!
This week has been good. Very humbling. :) Which is good because hopefully we are becoming who Heavenly Father wants us to become.
I know Heavenly Father has a plan for all of us!
1 Nephi 11:17- "And I said unto him: I know that he loveth his children; nevertheless, I do not know that meaning of all things."
This is the story of our lives. We know Heavenly Father loves us...BUT we do not know the meaning of all things. More often then not...we do not know what things happen in our lives, why we have certain weaknesses or certain trials. But we do know that Heavenly Father loves us.
Sister Nelson and I have seen a lot of good things this week! The members are becoming more missionary minded. We were sitting in church yesterday and one of the members got up and shared two missionary experiences she had this week! We were both soo excited. We got to talk to her after church about them and hopefully we will be able to start teaching them. She was telling us more about them and we asked her if she has been praying for this. She responded with a yes! Heavenly Father does answer our prayers. :) Praying with that faith is so important and always works.

I got to see SISTER DUMONT THIS WEEK! I LOVE HER SO MUCH! Sorry for the cowboy hat...its a long story...but sister dumont brought it for me because it was my rapping hat while we were in kearney. :) we would write a little rap for the sisters when they were a star companionship. Good times :)
I love you all! I know this is the Lords work and I know Heavenly Father loves you! Keep praying to bring others closer to Christ. :) It works!

Love,
Sister Call

WEEK 66

Lani in Omaha, like the French Braid Lan!

Lan, Sister Fuller, Sister Nelson, and Sister Page (Page and Fullmer are the Sister Trainers)

Hi family!
This week was wonderful. We saw miracles like nothing else! We had exchanges with Sister Page and Sister Fuller...our sister trainer leaders :) They are both incredible and magnify their assignment! Sister Page and I got to spend the day together. It was wonderful being with her again. I sure do love that sister. She is bold! but she loves the people so much. This is something I can totally work on!
Heather and her family are doing pretty well. They were not able to make it to church this past sunday, but we are having dinner and a lesson with them tonight! We are praying it goes well!
Ron, a lost sheep that we found came to church! He is the funniest black guy I have ever met. We had a lesson with him this past week and we went with a sister from our ward, Sister Smith. We all sat down and he said the prayer to begin the lesson. In the prayer he said, "we are grateful to be here with three vanillas and one chocolate!" baha! I just about lost it! He was talking about us and then himself. So he came to church and everyone welcomed him in! He felt right at home and even received a blessing from some of the priesthood holders. I love the members so much! They have such a desire to do the Lords work!
Sister Nelson is wonderful. I have been learning so much from her. She really is training me!
I am so grateful for the gospel of Jesus Christ. I am grateful that we know that we have a Heavenly Father who loves us no matter what! I know Jesus Christ is our Savior. He knows us perfectly and understands us perfectly and loves us perfectly. I love Him.
I love you all and hope you have an incredible week! Keep seeing those miracles! I know if you are praying with faith to bring someone closer to Christ, He will answer your prayers.
Love,
Sister Call

WEEK 65

This week has been a week of growth and miracles!
Heather Carstens and her kids came to church yesterday! It was a miracle! Afterwards her 17 year old son said that he wants to start taking the lessons. :) Miracle!!  It was incredible to see the ward members come and support her and her kids. That made all the difference in the world. There were some other less active members that came! A couple from Jamaica :) Oh my! They are so cute and we already love them to death. We are going over to their home this week and will hopefully be able to start teaching the husband. Another miracle!
We had interviews with president weston this week. It was seriously the best interview I have had yet! I love him and Sister Weston SOOO much! I know one of the reasons I am here is because they are here :) Every time interviews role around...there is always a theme. This time it was MEMBERS MEMBERS AND MEMBERS! :) He talked all about how members are the finders and we are the teachers...but first we need to help the members become finders. I have been thinking a lot about it. Would I rather see tons of baptisms with not much support from the ward? Or would I rather see a ward become a finding ward and see their friends be baptized and stay? I choose the second option! This ward has so much potential! We are praying to gain their trust and work hand in hand to do the Lords work! Building a foundation that will last is so much more worth it!
Sister Nelson is doing so great! She is such a hard working missionary and she really is here for the right reasons. I love her!
We have been going out with lots of sisters from our ward. We always see miracles when we are out with members. Its just how Heavenly Father wants it!
I got a letter from mom the other day and there was one part that I loved! She talked about how it doesn't matter what we want or who we want to be....all that matters is Heavenly Fathers will! I know that is true. We have been praying a lot more lately ( our goal is at least 30x a day!) because we want to do Heavenly Fathers will....not ours! This is His work and we need to council with Him in all our doings because He knows best. I am so grateful for a loving Heavenly Father to listens to every prayer and answers each one.
I love you all! Have an amazing week!
Love,
Sister Call

Week 64

Hello family and friends!
This week has been a roller coaster! We began the week with going out with a bunch of sisters to downtown omaha! It is exciting being back in the city again. :)
We started praying at the beginning of the week to be able to set someone for baptism.
Do you remember Heather Carstens? She is a less active in our ward and we had started meeting with her. We took her family to the mormon trail center the week before and had a wonderful experience. We had invited Roger, her husband to take the lessons. He was pretty hesitant. Well, we went tuesday night for our lesson with a member from our ward and GUESS WHAT!? Heather and her entire family were sitting around ready for the first lesson! WHHAAAA!!?? Can you say miracle? We started teaching the Restoration and the spirit was so strong. Roger never grew up in any church and didn't know how to pray. We were able to teach him how to pray. :) Soo...near the end of the lesson, I have a thought about baptism and BAM! Sister Nelson begins...."Roger, as you come to know these things are true...will you follow the example of Jesus Christ and be baptized by someone holding the priesthood authority from God?" and Roger said YES! I am SO grateful for the spirit. What a blessing!
The ward is amazing. We are seeing miracles everyday! We have limited miles which has forced us to walk and utilize the members. This has been a blessing because we have been able to develop friendships with members and hopefully gain some of their trust. We have been praying a lot!
We were out with a ward missionary yesterday, Sister Staley. She is my favorite! No joke. At the end of the day as we were driving home talking to sister Staley, we realized that it is so true...when members and missionaries work together the work happens! Miracles happen! This is Heavenly Fathers will. He is still a God of miracles! We need that faith and trust in what our prophet has said.
Sister Nelson is so great! We are growing a lot together. My goal this week is patience. haha! Heavenly Father has been letting my see a lot of my weaknesses. I am grateful though, because i want to become more like my Savior.
I was reading about Anson Call the other night. Someone gave me his conversion story. It is amazing and has made me soo grateful to be a Call!
The best part is....He became very close with joseph Smith after his conversion to the gospel. Right before Joseph left for Carthage jail, he told Anson..."Be faithful and true, and you shall have your reward. Farewell." This has become my thing lately! Be faithful and true! I am grateful for my ancestors. I know I am blessed because Anson was faithful and true. We are apart of his reward!

I love you all dearly! I know this gospel is the only way to lasting happiness. Jesus Christ is our Savior and this is His work! Be faithful and true and we will have our reward!
With all my love,
Sister Call

Week 63

What a week!

We have both learned so much! Sister Nelson is a great missionary. She is here to work! I love her.
So much happened this week, I am not sure where to begin....
We do not have many miles, so we are walking a lot! This has been really great to just talk to everyone on the street and try to find people to teach! ISister Nelson blew out her knee during high school so she has a brace that she is going to have to wear for the rest of her life. It has been a growing experience for both of us.
Yesterday, we had a really neat experience. Sister Nelsons knee had been hurting her and we started to talk about how Heavenly Father gives us weaknesses and experiences to help us rely on the Savior and become like Him. We talked about the power of positivity. We laughed as we talked about putting her knee in "time out" whenever it starts hurting.
I am just so grateful for a loving Heavenly Father who knows us perfectly. This morning I was praying and just asked Heavenly Father what He wanted me to do/change...I got this answer.

D&C 123:17

  • Doctrine and Covenants
Therefore, dearly beloved brethren, let us cheerfully do all things that lie in our power; and then may we stand still, with the utmost assurance, to see the salvation of God, and for his arm to be revealed.
AH! It was exactly what I needed. I know this is true! It is my new favorite scripture.

We have been busy this week still trying to meet all the members! This has been a focus of ours because the members are the best way to find people to teach.
We have met some really neat part member families and less active members. We are currently working with a lady named Heather Cardstens. We got to go to the trail center with her family last week. She came with her husband who is not a member and children. The sister missionary who took us on tour shared with us that not too long ago, she lost 4 brothers in a car accident. She testified of the Savior and the healing power of the atonement. Roger, the husband, felt the spirit! Hopefully we can start teaching him. Heather has been reading the book of mormon and will text us for more chapters to read! LOVE HER!
This work is the greatest work in the world! Eternal families are where it is at! I love you all dearly. Keep up the great work and keep inviting! I am still praying for the Olsons! We just gotta have faith. :)

Love you tons!
Love,
Sister Call

WEEK 62 TRANSFERS

Hi family!
This past week flew by way too fast. Sister Dumont and I were pretty sure that we would not be together so we tried to cherish every moment! I love that sister with all my heart. She has changed my life! Now I am with Sister Nelson! From Colorado! Oh my! She is so great. I love her.
We got a call Thursday morning for transfers from President Weston. He informed me that I am no longer a sister trainer leader and asked me to train and open an area. So honestly, I have been a little homesick for the sisters, the assignment, sister Dumont and Kearney. It feels odd not planning for exchanges and focusing on the sisters. But! I am so grateful for prayer. As I have prayed "with all the energy of heart" I have felt my Saviors love and I know He is with me. It is an adjustment, but Sister Nelson has so much faith and she is soo willing to work and learn. I know this is where we both need to be. It all comes down to trusting in Him.
We are in the Tranquility Park ward in Omaha :) The ward is huge and there are many converted members in the ward. We got to meet with our bishop as soon as we got into the area. He is a great man! We love him! We asked him for priesthood blessings to start out on the right foot in this area. We have prayed and planned, our focus for the next week is getting to know all the active members in the ward.
The pictures...saying goodbye to my kearney family (the cammacks). Saying goodbye to Sister Dumont. I love her. Sister Nelson and I!! :)
I want you all to know that I love you. Thank you for your prayers! I know this is the Lord's work and it does bring the greatest joy! We are so excited to meet the members are find through them people to teach. I am soo grateful for this opportunity because it is helping both of us to completely rely on the Savior and the spirit.
Have an amazing week!
Love,
Sister Call

Week 61

Hello everyone!
This week has been a week of miracles! Sister Dumont and I have been so blessed to see Heavenly Fathers hand in our life's so much this week!
We went on exchanges in Kansas! The sisters are working on communicating. :) This has been something I have learned these past few months. Communication is everything in a relationship!
We did service for this little old lady names Arlys. She is crazy and loves to do garage sales. We were able to meet some really neat people at the garage sale.
There are fireflies here in Nebraska! So of course, sister dumont and i and the members that we live with went out to catch them one night. We caught seven! It is the most exciting thing running around in the dark following little light bums. :) I love the cammacks!

Yesterday, 2 of our investigators came to church!! Debi and Gary! They are such a sweet couple. They feed us weekly and afterwards we sit down and have a lesson with them. We sang in church yesterday and so finally they said they would come and they did! So many people talked to them from the ward, especially our stake president. They really enjoyed it! We are praying that they will keep progressing. That was such a tender mercy!
Sister Dumont and I are still having a blast! Last night we found 2 new investigators last night. We had been praying and really wanting to find someone! and Heavenly Father blessed us. He really grants unto us according to our desires.
I love this work! I was THRILLED to hear that Grandpa and Grandma fox are seeing such miracles! :) HOW EXCITING! Way to be patient and trust in the Lords timing. Everything works out as long as we trust in Him!
I love you all dearly and I know this work is what brings true and lasting joy! Keep up the great work!
I love you,
Sister Call

Week 60

Sister JOCELYN Wrubbel and Sister Paige Allan, the York Sisters, Lan and Sister Dumont (she's been in Kearney for almost 7 months!)
Hello dear family!
This week has been filled with miracles and learning. Heavenly Father has taught Sister Dumont and I so much.
We have been gone from Kearney almost the entire week. We went from North platte to Grand Island and eventually York Nebraska. :) We sure love our travels and being with the sisters!
This week we learned that our weaknesses come from our Heavenly Father. He loves us and wants us to rely on our Savior Jesus Christ. We also learned to NEVER underestimate the power of the Book Of Mormon. This book of the most correct of any book and has the power to protect our families.
Karen is set for baptism!!! It was a miracle and it all stemmed from the Book of Mormon. She was reading the Book of Mormon and baptism kept coming up. It is amazing how Heavenly Father speaks directly to us through that book!

It is tornado season in Nebraska! This is an oncoming tornado that hit Kearney the other night. It WAS SO EXCITING! Sister Dumont and I were so happy to share this excitement. :) I ADORE NEBRASKA and the crazy weather.
I know this is the Lords work! I know Jesus Christ lives and i am so grateful for apostles and prophets that are special witnesses of Him.
I love you all! Thank you for your examples!

Have an amazing week!
Love,
Sister Call

Week 59

Hello Family!
What a week! It began with a miracle. Lupe, one of our investigators is wanting to be baptized on June 28th! She is very open to the spirit and wants to know if the Book of Mormon is true.
We were gone most of the week on exchanges. I got to go to Hastings with a Sister Case from Texas! She is so great! Throughout the exchange, she would say things and do things that reminded me of myself at the beginning of my mission. We sat talking during lunch and she expressed to me her fear of not doing enough! She just wants Heavenly Father to be proud of her. I have felt that way many times...so you work harder and harder till finally you don't enjoy yourself. I was able to give her a quote that has helped me throughout my mission so far. It is from President Gordon B. Hinckley...."PLEASE don't nag yourself with thoughts of failure. Don't set goals far beyond your capacity to achieve. Simply do what you can do, in the best way you know how and the Lord will accept your effort." As I shared this with her, we could both feel that Heavenly Father loves us and just wants us to do our best! He is pleased with us. I know that our Heavenly Father is a loving Heavenly Father. He wants us to be happy!

Andrea (nails pictures) is doing so great! Because of her friend in the ward, Sister Snider, and her study from the Book of Mormon,  she has been smoke free! When you look into her eyes, she has more of the spirit! She is happier and wishes to tell all that it is getting a little easier each day! Thank you for keeping her in your prayers. It is helping! This is a testimony to me that members are essential. Andrea needs sister snider checking up on her and being there for her!

Mission Leadership conference was this week and there are all my companions!! How I love these sisters. They have been the best examples to me and I have adored every single one of them.
The mission is focusing on the atonement this month. One of the sisters who is going home this transfer bore her testimony on the atonement. She said, "The atonement means to me, Everlasting Beginnings." This really struck me. The atonement is eternal. Everyday is a new day! Everyday is a new hope! Everyday is another chance! He lives! What Joy this sentence gives. I know that my Redeemer Lives! I love my Savior. I love all of you! This is the  greatest work in the world! Bringing other closer to Christ. This work is our families, our friends, ourselves.
I love you all dearly! Shout of to my dad! Dad- I love you. Thanks for being my friend and hero! Happy Fathers day!
Love,
Sister Call
ALSO! Shout of to Jocelyn! Hey my little friend- congrats on the baby blessing! I sure love you!

Scary Scabies

I think that she might of talked about this in her letter.

Week 58

We have seen Heavenly Father's hand so much in this week! I know we have a Heavenly Father who loves us and answers every prayer we speak!
1. We began this week with pretty much no food and no dinner appointments. Oops :)
So, we prayed and repented and asked Heavenly Father to have mercy on us and help us have food this week. The result: we miraculously have dinner and food given to us every single day this week. Heavenly Father answers prayers!
2. Last Sunday, we discovered that Sister Dumont had scabies. We think it might have come from our dearly beloved Karen. :) She has been in a nursing home lately and that is where it is a lot. We have no idea though. :) SO! We went to the doctors and alas, it was scabies. The doctors, doctor Boos was so nice! She knew an LDS young man back in college and spoke very highly of him. Well, here is my bad. I felt that I needed to give her something and invite her to take the lessons, but I didn't!! So, later...I prayed and repented. I asked Heavenly Father to give me a second chance to invite her! AND HE DID! The other day my eye started swelling for no apparent reason, so now we are going to hopefully see her today! Heavenly Father answers all of our prayers. What a fun week! HAHA!
Karen is doing alright. She is going through a trial of her faith right now. We invited her to read Ether 12. Our lesson with her was really good this week though. Satan is so real and he is working on her so much. She knows so many people in Kearney and when she joins the church, I know Kearney is going to just boom! Keep praying for her please.
Andrea, one of our recent convert is trying to quit smoking. Sister Snider, a member of our ward is working with her. We are all going the month of June with NO SUGAR! and Andrea is going the month of June with NO SMOKING! It is exciting and more of the ward is supporting her.
This week has been so great and very eye opening. I have gained a stronger testimony of the power of the atonement. We went on exchanges with some sisters. One of the sisters has been struggling feeling like she is close to Heavenly Father. This reminded me of the time not too long ago when I was struggling feeling unworthy and worthless. I look back and see how Jesus Christ healed. I didn't realize it then, but the atonement was at work and healed me. I know that everything we go through is for someone else!
I love you all!

Love,
Sister Call

Week 57

Hi Family!
This week was Zone Conference and it was the best one so far! It was all about families and focusing our teaching on the family! As a mission we studied the family proclamation. That is a sacred document that needs to be studied. Building our families on the foundation of Jesus Christ is essential! President Weston always says, "When you fail to plan, you plan to fail." He then proceeded to commit us to make a plan for our future! Plan out everything, school, work, how many children, who you will marry, where you will live...and so now. I was flabbergasted at first! I thought, "I am not supposed to be thinking about this! What are you saying President!" But, this came from Elder Nelson, an apostle. It is important to plan and then let Heavenly Father change it to something better! He cannot change it if there isn't one. So I made a plan :)
This week, we got a referral from Brother Carlson, a member in our ward. Her name is Lupe and we are so excited about her. She was so excited to read the Book of Mormon and is so open to the Spirit. She wants to come to know Jesus Christ more. She is hispanic, but speaks perfect english. Heavenly Father is blessing us!

This week I have been learning a lot about love! We had leadership conference this week and President said, "Everyone of you should have the goal of loving people unconditionally." I have been thinking about this A LOT! I have done a lot of soul searching and this is now a huge goal of mine. The atonement is for everyone no matter who they are or what they do. Its just a matter of having faith in the atonement and letting it work in peoples lives!
I love Kearney! These people are coming closer to Jesus Christ! I know that the atonement is at work in everyone's lives. We just need to be patient and love them unconditionally. I love my Savior Jesus Christ and that is my motivation.
I love you all and I am so grateful for eternal families!
Have a wonderful week! and keep seeing those miracles! I know Heavenly Father is proud of you for the work you are doing. :)

Love,
Sister Call

Week 56

Hi everyone! Transfers were this week and everything is the same. :)
This week we have zone conference! I am so excited because President has been talking about how we as a mission are going to focus so much more on the FAMILY! As a mission, we have been studying the family proclamation. It has been eye opening to realize how essential our families are to our diving destiny and how much Satan wants to destroy our families. It reminded me of Sister Reeves talk in conference where she said,
"I know that the Book of Mormon is true! cannot explain the power of this great book. only know that, coupled with prayer, the Book ofMormon carries the power to protect families, strengthen relationships, and give personal confidence before the Lord. testify of thesethings in the holy name of Jesus Christ, amen."
Studying the Book of Mormon personally and as a family is a powerful protection. I know this is true. The talk was about pornography and I know that we need to do everything in our power to protect our families against this and Satans influence.
This week we had an amazing lesson with Karen. She is so prepared. She said, "My soul has been hungering for this!" It was incredible. She quoted the Book of Mormon. :) She is getting closer and closer to making covenants with Heavenly Father. I love her!
The Sisters are doing better then they have ever done before. It is because we are all praying and working harder then ever! Almost all of them have someone set for baptism! It is exciting. The work is hastening!
The first picture is us with our RS president. Sister Dinkel. This women is amazing. She is just like my mother. 9 children. Homeschools and works hard! I love her! We took us out to ice cream where we found a less active that hasn't been to church in years! Heavenly Father is amazing.
The second picture is me and the Vera's. Brother Vera went to Utah to teach for the summer. We are doing to miss him dearly. But he will be back. :) I love this family!
The last picture is Sister Carpenters birthday! We all went out to lunch together. She is a great sister and I love working along side her! Happy Birthday Sister Carpenter!
I love you all! I know this is the Lords work and I know Jesus Christ lives! The Book of Mormon is our key to protection and trust me, we need all the fortifications and protection we can get! I love you all!
Have a great week!

Sister Call

Week 55

Hi Everyone!
I hope you all have had an amazing week!

This week we had a blast! We had exchanges with the York sisters on tuesday. This exchange helped me to see that miracles truly have not ceased and Heavenly Father is in control. It was all because we planned for them. The night before we planned and set goals and told Heavenly Father that we expected these miracles, and they happened! It reminded me of Nephi in the Book of Mormon, Helaman 11:14. Nephi says, "I know that thou wilt, even at this time, hearken unto my works, for thou saidst that: If this people repent I will spare them." Nephi had incredible faith and the Lord did answer his prayers.  I know God is the same and since that is true, we can still have the kind of faith Nephi had and see miracles like Nephi did!
The Book of Mormon is the best. :) Reading it everyday has brought me closer to my Heavenly Father.
Karen is doing well. We are praying that she will say yes to a baptismal date this week! She is such a neat lady. She is so open to the spirit which is perfect. I love her!
Sister Dumonts birthday was yesterday. She is such a great missionary! A lady in our ward and I planned a surprise lunch for her (tricky since we are always together). :) This lady was alone on mothers day, so it was very special for us to all be together!
I got to see my family this weekend! I got to see Jocelyn! :) She is magnificent! Even though I only got to see her through a screen I could feel how special her spirit is. She has been waiting forever to come down here and be apart of our family. I am grateful for her and for her parents who are keeping their temple covenants so they can all have an eternal family!
Thank you for all you do for me and for this work. I know Heavenly Father is there. I know Jesus Christ is our Savior, our brother and our best friend! The atonement is so real and at work in all of our lives. I know the Book of Mormon is true and can promise that if you read it everyday, you will feel the spirit and it will answer your questions. It has answered mine.
Love you all bunches! Have a great week seeing miracles! They sure are happening :)

Sister Call

Week 54

Hello everyone!

This week was wonderful. So much to learn!
We had a great lesson with Karen. We taught the plan of salvation...it was a review since she has read the pamphlet before. At the end we asked her, "Karen, will you pray and ask Heavenly Father if this is true." She looked at me and said, "I already know this is true." BAM! The spirit was very strong and I was shocked! Haha! Love her.
We had lots of exchanges and then leadership conference in Omaha. These are all the Sister Trainer leaders in the mission! The conference was all about believing miracles will happen! There can be miracles, when we believe! :)
We had stake conference. INCREDIBLE! Elder Ward of the Seventy talked about Doctrine and Covenants 4:4. We cannot just throw our sickle and expect it to cut things down, our sickle works close to us. It is those people around us that we are supposed to share the gospel with. It was amzing. More later!
I love you all! Sorry this is so short. I know this work is the Lords work and you are where Heavenly Father wants you to be for the people around you.
"Life is not about me. Its about the people I serve."
Love you!,
SiSTER cALL

WE are behind again!!! WE ARE SLACKERS

Here's Week 53; April 28

This week was a marvelous week!
We did exchanges in Phillipsburg Kansas and saw how much potential these areas have! President Weston has committed all of us to make 10 contacts (talk to 10 new people about the gospel everyday). This has been a challenge. It's not that people are not around, we just need to be more obedient! We have seen miracles from doing this.
We also did exchanges with the Hermanas in Grand Island. It is a whole other world doing Spanish exchanges! I desperately try to speak Spanish, but usually give us and start gesturing widely to my Spanish companion. Oh well. :)
I just know how important it is to magnify our callings! I love working with all of these sisters. It is all about them! I have struggled finding the balance between focusing on the sisters and focusing on our area, but I have finally figured it out. 1. comes your companion. 2. comes this sisters. 3. comes your area. From President Weston :)
I love this work. I know Jesus Christ Lives!  This is the Lord's work and we need to be positive! Positivity is key to success! :)

I love you all have hope you have an amazing week!
Love,
Sister Call
We did exchanges with the sisters in Phillipsburg Kansas! I love these sisters!

I got to shoot an bow after doing service on exchanges....we called eachother Sister Everdeen. :)

Lisa greer and her daughter Maya! Lisa is an inactive member who is coming back! She came to church last sunday and stayed all three hours. I love them both! We asked when we could come back and Maya looked at us as said, "Just so you know, we are available every night but tuesday." Haha! She is so funny.
Life is grand! Thank you for all your love and support! The Lord's work is moving forward! Everyone jump in!
